What are my teeth whitening options?
Take Home Whitening System
We recommend for most patients that whitening their teeth in the comfort of their own home is the most cost effective and efficient way.
We would firstly ensure that your oral hygiene is of a sound standard before taking moulds to create very thin and comfortable mouthguards which are custom-fitted for the upper and lower arch of your mouth.
You will be provided with instructions for use and the correct amount of teeth whitening gel to be placed into the whitening trays. Patients are instructed to wear their mouthguards for 30-60 minutes a day after brushing their teeth and within 7- 10 days, most patients witness amazing changes and visibly brighter teeth. As the take home system is of a low dose which is dispensed over a longer period of time, we believe it is the safest way to whiten teeth with the lowest risk of developing post-whitening tooth sensitivity.
As an introductory offer, we currently have an exciting special for our take home teeth whitening systems at $300 for our take home kit ($150 off our regular price).
In-Chair Whitening System
For some, it can be too difficult wearing their whitening mouthguards everyday for 7-10 days and compliance is the issue. Let’s face it, we all have busy lives to lead! That’s why at Underwood Dental Care, we also provide an in-chair whitening system with more instantaneous results.
Our Pola Office whitening gel, an Australian made professional strength teeth whitening system, is applied onto your teeth after a professional clean. The gel also contains glycerine and highly purified water to prevent tooth dehydration and to further ensure safety.
With this procedure a specifically designed lamp is also used. This light is an LED which is perfectly safe for tooth enamel, skin, gums, and other soft tissues. It emits virtually no heat or harmful UV radiation as some other whitening systems may do.
The Pola Office whitening system produces a more instant result, with your teeth being whitened by 6-12 shades in just 45 minutes.
